Rookin House is a long established family run Equestrian & Outdoor Activity Centre aimed at providing fantastic activities for adults whether it’s for a Special Occasion or a Corporate Event or you simply want to have fun.

We also offer activities for children including families and programs for school & youth groups. You are able to book activities individually or part of a half or full day experience, there is something for everyone.

We offer many activities and there is a full list on our website www.rookinhouse.co.uk. They include Archery, Air Rifles, Clay Pigeon Shooting, Human Bowling, Escorted Quad Bike Trekking , a variety of Off Road Vehicles, Paintballing and various Team Events from 1 hour to a few days.

For groups wanting an activity break then we have self catering accommodation on site which sleeps groups from 12 to 26people. Perfect for a Stag or Hen weekend who want something different to the usual pub crawl.

Horse Riding – ABRS and Pony ClubApproved. We can arrange rides to suit you from one hour to a full day. We cater for total beginners and experienced riders as we have a variety of well mannered, willing ponies and horses. Our numerous routes all offer fabulous views of the surrounding fells. Also available are private hacks, riding lessons, pony parties and bespoke riding holidays please do not hesitate to contact us for further details. We have various routes in the Lake District including riding up Latrigg and abover Ullswater with fantastic views of the lakes to make a very special trail riding holiday.
