Walking, Climbing, Sailing, Fishing. Mountain Biking, Riding, Bird watching, Photography are just some of the activities that guests can do when visiting. The market town of Leek is just a few minutes away and Alton Towers theme park is just down the road. Stoke on Trent and the world famous “Potteries” is a short drive away as is the Spa town of Buxton.

The Stables (sleeps 2)

A cosy traditional stone built barn conversion situated on the edge of the beautiful Peak District National Park. This modern and inviting cottage is the perfect location for a romantic retreat for a special occasion, ideal for a couple

This delightful converted stable block is situated on the edge of the beautiful Peak District National Park. Its tranquil location is the perfect setting to explore the Peak District National Park with many activities including hiking, cycling and fishing nearby.

The cottage is home to a spacious entrance hall with space to store your boots after an enjoyable days hiking. From here you can step into the open plan living space complete with a lounge/kitchen/diner where there are beautifully exposed character beams and high ceilings. There is a fully equipped kitchen with everything you need to cook up a feast when you have worked up an appetite exploring. The kitchen offers all you need with an electric oven and hob, microwave, kettle, toaster fridge/freezer, compact dishwasher, washing machine & tumble dryer. There is also a spacious dining table where you can dine with your loved one while watching the sunset over the picturesque countryside. There is a comfortable corner sofa where you can relax and unwind after a long day of outdoor pursuits while getting engrossed in your favourite film on the smart TV in front of the cosy electric fire. When the fresh air finally tires you out you can head across the hall to the cosy double bedroom with its modern en-suite wet room, to catch some sleep before your next adventure.

The cottage has the luxury of a place to relax outside and enjoy the picturesque panoramic views across the valley, watching the sunset over the valley. You can even enjoy your favourite tipple while dining alfresco with the gas BBQ. To make your stay even more convenient there is free parking for 1 car a short stroll away from the property.

This country escape is located a stone’s throw from the Peak District National Park and is close to the market town of Leek and spa town of Buxton, both of which host an array of popular events. The rural location is perfect for outdoor pursuits, be it hiking, cycling, rock climbing, horse riding, water sports or golfing – there is something for the whole family.

With other local attractions in close vicinity including Alton Towers, Churnet Valley Railway, Chester Zoo and Peak Wildlife Park there are an abundance fantastic days out to be had – be it rain or shine! There are other popular attractions not far away including Chatsworth House and gardens which offer a popular Farm Shop with some delicious delicacies.

The area is also home to several popular wedding venues including the Three Horse Shoes Country Spa, Heaton House and The Ashes. After a busy day, you can even retire to some of the local country pubs for some exquisite cuisine.

Heading beyond the kitchen there is a spacious sleeping area with a cosy double bed where you can catch some sleep before the days of exploring ahead. To the right of this main living area, you will find two single beds, the perfect space to tuck the kids up after the adventures of the day. The twin bed area can also double up as a larger dining area with space for the concealed dining table or room to play board games on those less sunny days. Beyond this area, you will find an ample shower room with a sink and WC.

The well-equipped kitchen has everything you need for a weekend away or a longer holiday including a gas hob, electric range oven, American style fridge freezer, dishwasher and washer/dryer. This social open-plan space means the family can chat at the grand dining table nearby, or relax on the comfy sofas and catch up on their favourite TV programs with the convenient smart TV, while you are cooking up a feast. When you are starting to get weary after a long day of exploring, you can head up a couple of stairs to put the kids to bed in the beautiful twin room, complete with spectacular high ceilings, so they can catch some sleep before their next adventure.

The converted barn boasts a beautiful open-plan space, complete with a bright and modern kitchen/lounge/diner with ample space to relax. The kitchen area offers you a fantastic space to cook up a feast after you’ve worked up an appetite. The well-equipped kitchen has everything you need for a weekend away or a longer holiday, including a gas hob, electric range oven, American-style fridge freezer, dishwasher and washer/dryer. This social space means the family can chat at the grand dining table nearby, or relax on the comfy sofas and catch up on their favourite TV programs with the smart TV. After a long day of exploring, head up a couple of stairs to the beautiful twin room, with a convenient nearby shower room, sink and WC. Heading up the main staircase are two peaceful double bedrooms with luxurious furnishings so you’ll get a wonderful nights sleep. Additional Directions Information

Getting to the property from Leek:
(1) Take the Buxton road out of Leek, 
(2) When you reach restaurant painted white called Moss Rose take the right hand turn in front of the building. 
(3) Carry driving straight on, over the bridge at the bottom of the hill 
(4) When you reach a sharp bend take the right turn on the sharp bend. 
(5) Take the immediate left 
(6) Carry straight on to the top of the hill (called The Easing) until you reach the junction at the top. 
(7) Turn right at the junction and carry straight on for around 300 meters
(8) You will see a sign with the name Brambles Farm (the property was previously Wormlow Farm) on it on the right hand side. 
(9) Enter the gateway and carry on down the track through the field to the bottom of the hill. 
(10) You have arrived at your destination.
