Why join Farm Stay UK
30 March 2021
Here at Farm Stay UK, we’re more than a great promotion opportunity for your rural accommodation business. We’re a community.
Established in 1983, we have continually been managed by a board of volunteers elected from local sub-divisions across the country.
Each region has its own board who host events, trainings and offer peer to peer support. At a national level, our volunteers are continually investing in the development of Farm Stay as the original and leading cooperative of rural accommodations.
I’m not a farmer, can I still join?
YES! While Farm Stay has a lot of members who run accommodation on working farms, we are open to any and all rural accommodations across the UK and would be happy to chat to you about how we can support you.
How else can Farm Stay support my business?
You’ve found us through our new website. Is that a coincidence? No; we’re continually improving what we do in order to ensure your business is seen by as many people as possible. While in recent years, we have upped our game on the website and through digital and social media, we haven’t neglected traditional forms of promotion and have invested heavily in our brochure, as well as trade stands at shows such as The Glamping Show.
Why should I join Farm Stay now?
We’re 40 in 2023! And we have big plans to make Farm Stay UK an even bigger name before then through further investment in public relations, digital marketing and good old face to face promotion.
With rural accommodation unlocking after the Covid-19 restrictions, staycations in the UK are booming. We saw a 400 per cent increase in website traffic overnight.
We’ve also just invested in a new website to further improve our SEO rankings, make our website even more user friendly and accessible through mobile devices.
We’re also continuing to grow our social media accounts organically and driving traffic back to our website through other forms of media. We also offer training online and at our annual conference each year to help you to improve your own communications.
I can’t afford to pay a lump sum for Farm Stay membership
No problem! We’ve been working hard to ensure we can accommodate (excuse the pun) as many rural tourism businesses as possible and have introduced a split-payment method to aid the rural economy post-lockdown.
We’d love to chat to you about further ways we can support your business as a Farm Stay UK member, so please get in touch.
