Tattershall Castle 
This 15th Century castle is built primarily of redbrick and boasts beautiful grounds.  It is located less than 10 miles from Horncastle to the south of the Lincolnshire Wolds.  With an audio guide available on site to guide you round at your own pace, this is sure to be a historic hotspot. Belton House This is a beautiful, quintessential English country house, built in the 1680s.  Originally home to Sir John Brownlow this formal country home hosts many his private collections along with the expansive deer park and is now a National Trust property for the whole family to enjoy.  This property can be found just a few miles north east of Grantham.

Also nearby is Grantham House, a lovely townhouse, in the heart of Grantham on the edge of the river with beautiful, walled gardens. 
Woolsthorpe Manor
Is a small, quaint farm house which is easy to overlook aside from the fact it is the birthplace of Sir Isaac Newton.  This lovely little property is situated on the edge of the town of Colsterworth, just south of Grantham. Definitely not one to be missed!

Gunby Hall Estate - Chapel, Manor House and Gardens. 
This popular estate stand out from other National Trust properties as it is all open to the public, including a small tearoom onsite.  This property, located in the South of Lincolnshire Wolds,  is significant for its many links to famous faces such as Tennyson, Darwin and Vaughn Williams. Entry is subject to standard National Trust entry fees.
