Its heritage spans centuries, with Chester a 2000 year old Roman City; glorious stately homes such as Tatton Park, Gawsworth Hall and Lyme Park and exquisite gardens that rank amongst the world's finest.

Lancashire has superb coastal resorts, beautiful countryside and a fascinating heritage all waiting to be discovered. Explore the spectacular Ribble and Lune Valleys, the Forest of Bowland and Lancashire's hill country.

Greater Manchester has the South Pennines where you can walk on the Pennine Way to attractive towns like Delph and Hebden Bridge.

Cumbria has England's highest mountain and deepest lake and appeals to all ages with its unrivalled cultural and literary heritage not forgetting Hadrian's Wall and Historic West Coast.
