Both parks are very large in size, with Woburn being over 300 acres and Whipsnade being the UK’s biggest zoo. There is a wonderful array of species to be seen in both parks, including: lions, tigers, elephants, rhinos, wolverines & wolves. These parks are a winner if you are having a short break with family, and for those without children who want to get outside and see either of two of the best wildlife parks in the UK.
For those who like a bit of heat and spice, Edible Ornamentals in Chawston is the ideal destination. This chilli growing nursery offers a huge range of sauces, salsas, cookery classes, a PYO poly tunnel with over 100 varieties of chilli and chilli experiences. Edible Ornamentals is a great way to try something different and a most for any cooking enthusiasts and lovers of heat.

Bedfordshire is also home to some wonderful country estates, Ascott Estate and Wrest Park being two of them. Both estates have beautiful landscaped gardens and large country houses, with Wrest Park being particularly grand.
