Stourhead, Lacock Abbey, Corsham Court, the Cotswold Water Park and Salisbury Cathedral- with the largest spire in the UK- are all magnificent places to visit, whilst the Neolithic monuments which Wiltshire is famous for, such as Stonehenge, Avebury and Old Sarum offer a glimpse in the lives of prehistorical Britons. For those enjoying a weekend break with children Longleat Safari Park is an excellent place to visit. The park was the first drive through park outside of Africa and now boasts a huge variety of animals as well as the largest maze in England and also the huge manorial house of Lord Bath. As well as Longleat families might also enjoy visiting Salisbury and Swindon if the weather is not so good, with the Oasis Leisure Centre in Swindon a particularly good place to visit for any parents with children who love to swim.
