Lily Hill is Georgian farmhouse situated in the beautiful tranquil landscape of County Durham,when staying with us you are guaranteed a warm welcome wonderful views good farmhouse hospitality and relaxing atmosphere.

we are a working farm located in the small hamlet of Brignall 1.5 miles from main Trans-pennine route A66. Ideal location for short stay if on long journey.Or you could take longer break and enjoy all the attractions in County Durham.We are central for the Dales and 4 miles south of Barnard Castle renowned for Bowes Museum antique shops and Castle ruins and many other tourist places in Teesdale .Or can visit Richmond and Yorkshire dales we are with in 1 hour drive to Beamish Museum the lakes,Durham.
We offer 2 shower en- suite bedrooms,guest lounge, private parking.

We offer 1 spacous twin bedded room with shower en-suite

1 spacous Double /family room with shower en-suite 2 fold out beds are put up to accomodate family of 2 adults 2 children in this room.

There is a guest lounge/dining room for guests to relax after long journey with cup of tea and Karens home made scones.Also where you enjoy a hearty farmhouse breakfast after a good nights sleep in our comfy beds.There is a microwave in lounge for guests to use

All rooms are decorated and furnished to high standard to compliment the age of the farm house

All rooms have TV, hospitality trays with homemade cookies, hair dryers, radio alarms,toiletries,towels,torch.You can request a iron and ironing board to use,and karen will let you use washing machine.

We have guest car park,and gardens with seating areas to take in the wonderful surrounding countryside with all the wild life

There are many walks in the area for you to take and enjoy what Teesdale has to offer

All my guests are over whelmed with the wonderful views to enjoy from the bedroom window peace and quiet and the experience of staying in our lovely Georgian farmhouse

Additional Directions Information

By car: We are 12 miles west of Scotch Corner, turn off the A66 at Greta Bridge, go past Morritt Hotel and turn left for Brignall, you go about 1.5 miles up a country lane past a church then carry on up the lane past 3 other properties on left. We are the only farm on the left with a white bed and breakfast sign on the road side.

If coming south from Penrith to Scotch Corner we are 5 miles south of Bowes, take the second right off the A66 after Bowes exit,  follow a country lane for 1.5 miles for Brignall. We are the only farm on the right.
