Nestling on the edge of Yellowham Wood, peace and tranquility are guaranteed. Ideally situated for exploring the Jurassic Coast whilst being close to the county town of Dorchester lends a good central location for exploring all of Dorset.

The property is secluded up a half mile long private tarmac driveway, away from the main road and hidden under the edge of an old oak woodland. The farm has 60 acres of grass pastures populated by a small herd of Dexter cattle and a handful of retired racehorses. There is ample parking in the main yard and outdoor seating adjacent to the bedrooms which are accessed directly from the parking area. There is also a woodland garden situated up some steps away from the car park where guests can relax on the bench or sit at the newly handmade wooden picnic tables. The guest rooms are separate from the main farmhouse and located on the ground floor in a quadrangle. Three standard rooms down one corridor and two superior rooms located in another corridor with a large sun lounge and dining room linking the two areas.

All the rooms whether standard or superior have en-suite facilities.  The superior rooms have bathroms with wall mounted shower attachments above the bath and a showerscreen. Standard rooms look out onto a banked garden with apple trees and natural shrubs where wild oregano and meadow flowers grow.  The banked grass area has regular visits from rabbits, pheasants and deer. The standard rooms have newly refurbished en-suite shower rooms.  These rooms all have a tall boy chest of drawers with 5 drawers, two bedside tables, armchair, vanity table with chair and open shelving and hanging space.  The superior rooms are even more quiet as they are built into the banking that surrounds the rear of the property.  Whilst there is no view other than the trees and plants directly outside the window the rooms lend themselves well to long sleeps and are perfect if you just want to rest after a busy day exploring.  These superior rooms are far more spacious with upgraded bathrooms, larger Superking divan beds that can be either twin/double rooms and again have armchairs, two bedside tables and vanity tables with drawers but also two closed shelved cupboards and fitted wardrobes. There are two dog friendly rooms (these are standard rooms) and guests can walk their dogs up the private farm track that runs off the main drive along the side of the post and rail fenced fields up to the farm buildings.

Coming from the east: follow the A35 westbound from Bere Regis signposted towards Dorchester. At the end of the dual-carriageway, as the road goes into to single lane at the bottom of the hill take the exit signposted to Higher & Lower Bockhampton. This is before the bridge. Follow the road and after about 100 metres turn right and take the bridge over the dual carriageway. Before you get to the junction feeding back onto the dual carriageway heading eastbound there is a road off to the left (no signpost), turn left and the B&B sign is seen on the lefthand side (2nd driveway). Follow the tarmac drive with post & rail fencing all the way to the end, up to the main house.

Coming from the west: take the A35 eastbound from Dorchester. After two miles there is a dual-carriageway. Start indicating left as you get on the dual-carriageway, 400 metres you will pass under a bridge and then take the left just after signposted to Higher & Lower Bockhampton. As soon as you exit the dual-carriageway there is a road off to the right (no signpost), turn right and the B&B sign is seen on the lefthand side (2nd driveway). Follow the tarmac drive with post & rail fencing all the way to the end, up to the main house.
