Knowle Farm is idyllically set in 44 acres of beautiful South Devon countryside with its very own woodland and riverside walks. Our fantastic child-friendly facilities include a toddler soft play area, indoor heated swimming pool, walk-in rabbit enclosure, toddler race track and tennis court, and with our multitude of farm animals you and your children can enjoy our luxurious four star cottages without ever getting bored. Fantastic sandy beaches are just 30 minutes away and Dartmoor is right on our doorstep. Our six individual cottages, which have each received the VisitEngland Gold award for exceptional quality of accommodation, overlook lovely views and include just about everything you could need, including cots and high chairs. Our purpose built indoor toddler soft play area is hugely popular, along with our wide selection of friendly farm animals. Let your child pat a pig, stroke a donkey, meet a sheep and hear a cockerel crow. Don’t forget the ducks and peacock - just open your cottage door and they will be waiting to be fed. The indoor heated pool with gentle steps into the shallow end is bright and welcoming at all times of the year. Babysitting and dogsitting is available by prior arrangement with a DBS checked babysitter, who is also a vet! There’s lots more to do as well – other facilities include a pool table, table tennis, outdoor play areas and tennis court. Our walk-in rabbit area with surrounding toddler 'Race Track' is incredibly popular, as is our outdoor games area with purpose built boules court and football lawn. You won’t even have to prepare your meals – we sell a great choice of locally produced ready meals and ice creams. Local attractions include steam trains, boat trips and an absolute multitude of fun things to do with the children. Fantastic sandy beaches are just 30 minutes away and the majestic Dartmoor National Park is right on our doorstep. There is an excellent 11th Century local village pub within walking distance that is child friendly and offers the perfect place for an evening out. They overlook lovely views and all include: Wood-burning stoves; Freesat HDTV (CBeebies etc); DVD; Wi-Fi and just about everything you could hope for, including cots, high chairs and bed guards. We accept well-behaved dogs in Foxglove and Cow-mumble (due to the free range animals around the cottages we do have to ask that dogs are kept on short leads at all times while outside).
