About Our Cottages
Our cottages are set in 10 acres of rolling pasture land, in the heart of the peaceful valley of the river Yeo, with far reaching views of Exmoor. Tastefully converted from old farm buildings retaining many character features including exposed beams and latched doors, our eight stone cottages are arranged in an attractive courtyard setting and sleep between 2 and 10 people plus cots. Alternatively, they may all be booked out together to accommodate up to 45 plus 10 cots
About Us
Our multi award winning business (Gold winners: Best Self-catering business by Visit England) offers something for all the family. Perfect for family celebrations, grown-ups can benefit from holistic therapy treatments, babysitting services, all baby equipment provided, meals to pre-order (cooked by a local chef) and private hot tubs to sink into whilst the older children can enjoy the indoor Games Room facilities, holiday clubs and the chance to help work on the farm caring for the animals.
For Little Ones
For our little ones, there are farm trails (all linked to the national Curriculum) an indoor play barn, large toddler friendly play areas to safely explore, forest school (in the school holidays) and lots and lots of animal fun!
As an accredited Autism friendly business, we understand the challenges that can be faced when going on holiday. Social stories, quiet zones, daily holiday planners, sensory toys, communication cards will all be available to those who might benefit.
Seasonals Events
The farm is open all year and runs seasonal activities too such as Easter Egg Hunts, bottle feeding our Spring lambs, chick handling sessions, children’s seasonal workshops, Halloween fun, Bonfire weekends and of course our very popular Christmas and New Year breaks with visits from farmer Christmas!
Making Memories
Throughout the whole year there are opportunities to make extra special memories. Fancy grooming a goat? Taking the lambs out for walks on their leads? Stroking a chicken? Cuddling a rabbit or guinea pig?… and not forgetting a ride on a donkey or helping to muck out!
Exploring North Devon From The Farm
North Hayne is a perfect base to explore all that North Devon has to offer. Our local market town of South Molton offers an award winning twice weekly market full of fresh produce and a wonderful selection of artisan shops, as well as a supermarket, swimming pool and the fabulous Quince Honey farm attraction. The main North Devon town of Barnstaple is just 15 miles away and nearest beaches approx. 35/40 mins drive where as many as 22 beaches can be found with opportunities for surfing and sandcastle building! Exmoor National park is just 5 miles away where amazing walks, night skies (we are an accredited Dark Skies business) and abundant wildlife can be discovered and the farm is within easy reach of all North Devon’s main attractions and places to enjoy great days out if you can bear to leave the farm!
