B&B in Buxton
If you’re after a B&B in the delightful spa town of Buxton, you’ve come to the right place as Farm Stay offers a wide range of holiday accommodation to suit every taste and budget.
Like all our properties, our B&B cottages and farmhouses are inspected by the AA or Visit England and quality assessed under the nationally recognised grading scheme; you are therefore assured a high standard of accommodation, a warm welcome and a delicious home cooked breakfast using local produce.
Lying just outside the boundaries of the National Park, Buxton is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the Peak District – with visitors flocking to take the natural spring waters and soak up the beautiful Georgian architecture. The Roman baths were a major source of importance and income for the town for many centuries, but the spa industry went into decline after the First World War and by the 1950s Buxton was a backwater. The town’s recovery began in the 1980s with the reopening of the famous Opera House and continues with an ambitious project to reopen the spa and The Crescent.
Buxton has a good selection of independent retailers and well known high street names, plus a number of hiking and outdoor stores which is hardly surprising considering the town’s location. And, if you fancy a sampling some delicious Derbyshire foods before returning to your B&B, you’re in for a treat as the town hosts a wide range of great places to eat.
